About Memo in the Sky
When something is done, you don't just delete it. You burn it.
Things to do. Things to remember. Things you want kept in plain sight for a while. What you write becomes a wooden plank and floats in a blue sky. It stays there until you are finished with it.
When you are, hold the plank under your finger. It smolders, catches fire, burns through, and falls away as ash.
A checkbox turns grey. A line slips quietly off a list. That is not much of an ending. So the ending is the part I made large.
Once it burns, nothing is left
You burned it, so nothing remains. I chose burning rather than deleting because that needs no explanation.
No history is kept of what you wrote or what you burned. What remains is in your own mind instead, clearly, for a while. That is how I meant it to work.
This is a place for things you only need to hold briefly. Anything you will need to look back on later, write somewhere else.
It connects to nothing
No calendar. No reminders. No notifications. No due dates, no repeats, no tags, no sharing. If you need any of that, use an app that has it.
This one is for people who find those things more of a nuisance than a help. Who want to feel only what their own hands did — wrote it, moved it, burned it — and nothing beyond that.
There is almost no button
Touch the empty sky and wait a moment. A plank appears.
Touch a plank and hold still. It begins to burn.
Pull a plank sideways, then move it up or down. The order changes.
The only thing resembling a button is the small wooden plank you press to commit what you have written.
There is no sound
No sound effects. This is something you may open in front of other people.
Everything you feel comes through vibration. As the fire approaches, the trembling under your finger grows stronger. While it is still trembling, you can turn back. When it stops, you cannot.
Nothing leaves your phone
What you write is stored only on your iPhone. The app makes no network connection of any kind. No one, including me, can see what you wrote.
