Peako - Game Highlight Camera

Peako records your game from start to finish while you mark the moments worth keeping, as they happen. When you finish recording, the clips are already cut — just the seconds around each mark.

No more scrubbing through a long video hunting for the good parts.


■ How it works

1. Pick a preset and start recording
2. Tap a tag whenever something worth keeping happens
3. Finish recording, and the clips are waiting for you
4. Save the ones you like to Photos, or share them

Tapping a tag doesn’t stop the recording. Leave the camera rolling for the whole game.


■ Mark it while you record

Tap one of the tag buttons on screen and a short vibration confirms it. You don’t have to look at the screen, so you never take your eyes off the play.

There are at most four tags. We kept the number small so you can tell them apart without looking.

In landscape you choose which side the tag buttons sit on. Put them within reach of the thumb of the hand holding the device.


■ The seconds around your tap, cut automatically

Every tag carries its own “seconds before” and “seconds after.” A Shot, for example, keeps 5 seconds before the tap and 5 after. Finish recording and those clips are there.

Tap the same moment more than once, or let ranges overlap. Both are fine.


■ Your original video stays, as usual

Clips are cut from the original, and the full video is saved the way any recording would be. You can save it to Photos too.

If a clip fails to export, the original is never at risk, and you can build the clip again afterward.


■ Find it again in seconds

Each recording keeps its original video and its clips together. Filter by tag, by person, or both.

Assign the people in a clip and you can pull up just Taro’s clips. Select several clips and assign them all at once.


■ Adjust the range afterward

Tapped a little late? Want a few more seconds at the end? Adjust the range clip by clip, and reset to the original range whenever you like.


■ Combine a day into one highlight

From the date on the home screen, build a highlight out of that day’s clips:

• By tag (just the shots, just the nice plays)
• By person (just Taro’s)
• Everything from this day

Play it, save it, share it.


■ Tags that fit your sport

Three presets are built in:

• Ball sports (Shot / Nice play / So close / Review later)
• Kendo (Ippon / So close / To work on / Review later)
• Everyday & other (Keep this / Funny / Cute / Review later)

Duplicate one and change the tag names and the seconds to match your sport, or build a new preset from scratch.


■ Built for long recordings

Made on the assumption that you leave it running for a whole game:

• Pause and resume
• Zoom
• Elapsed time and remaining space
• Warnings for low storage, low battery, and a device that is getting hot
• Press and hold to finish, so recording never stops by accident
