About Plenilune: Phases of the Moon
Plenilune shows the Moon as it is tonight: its phase is computed from its real position, then drawn like an engraving. I built it end to end with one idea: bringing together, in a single app, the precision of astronomy and the beauty of engravings.
Moonrise and moonset times are computed for the place where you are, and so is the visibility of eclipses. And every morning, a moon story: a saying, a belief, a fact of astronomy.
Day to day, Plenilune lives on both the Home Screen and the Lock Screen through its widgets. It can alert you when a full or new moon approaches. Any page can be shared as an image or a short clip, with the Moon drawn as it really is that night.
Premium opens the calendar to the past and future, reveals the names and stories of the twelve traditional full moons, alerts you to rare events such as eclipses, supermoons and blue moons, and can send you the morning story. This is how Plenilune can live without advertising.

Plenilune now shares what it shows.
On the daily note, a day sheet, a named full moon or an eclipse sheet, a new button turns the page into an image: a Story, a Post, or a four-second clip where the sky turns around the Moon. The Moon is engraved as it is on that date, eclipse included.
Moonrise and moonset are back in the right order on Today and on the day sheet. On about every other day the Moon sets before it rises, and the app used to list them the other way round. Days with neither event now say so.
Premium now shows a little of itself before you join: notifications, days outside the month, archived full moons and upcoming events can be glimpsed, and two named full moons are offered in full instead of one. The Premium texts have been rewritten in all six languages, and so have the daily notes and the full moon stories.
Premium members can join the TestFlight beta from Settings.
Fixes: the rating button in Settings showed a raw key, several premium doors needed two taps, and a failed purchase or share stayed silent. The heart on Today is gone; the rating request now comes after three days of use.
