About Last Piece: Chess Solitaire
A chess solitaire puzzle. You do not need to know how to play chess: the game shows you where every piece can go.
TWO RULES
Every move must be a capture — you cannot simply move a piece to an empty square. And the important one: a piece becomes what it captures. A knight takes a rook, and from then on it moves like a rook.
That is where the difficulty comes from. Every move takes one piece off the board, so the number of moves is known in advance. What you have to work out is the order: a wrong first move leaves two pieces in opposite corners that cannot reach each other.
WHAT IS INSIDE
• 120 levels, from three pieces on a 4x4 board to seven on 5x5
• Difficulty grows step by step, not in jumps — every band is checked by a solver
• A tutorial on the board itself: the game walks you through the first level
• A reference with the moves of all five pieces, in case chess is a distant memory
• Three colour schemes for the board
