About Aromatica: Herb Garden Care
🌿 Aromatica – watering reminders for your herb garden
Growing basil, rosemary, thyme or mint on your balcony and never sure when to water? Aromatica tells you when your herbs actually need it, plant by plant, with a reminder at the right time.
💧 Watering tailored to each plant
Every herb has its own rhythm: basil gets thirsty almost daily in summer, while rosemary can wait a week. Aromatica works out the watering interval from the plant, the pot size and the season, and adjusts it on its own when the weather changes — no fiddling required.
☔ It knows when it rains
The app reads the weather where you are: temperature, humidity, wind and rain. If it rained enough, one tap marks your plants as "watered by the rain" and skips the watering. No surprise automation: you always decide.
☀️ The right light for every herb
North, south, east or west? Pick your balcony's orientation with a tap or with the built-in compass, and find out which herbs will thrive in that light.
📖 Complete guides to 10 popular herbs
Basil, rosemary, mint, lavender, sage, parsley, thyme, oregano, chives and bay laurel, each with sun exposure, the right pot, ideal temperature, watering, feeding, sowing and harvesting, common problems and how to fix them, good companion plants and tips for growing in the city.
💧 How to water, with drawings
An illustrated guide: the finger test to tell whether the plant is really thirsty, the right steps and the three ways of watering, from Mediterranean herbs that like to dry out to mint that wants moist soil.
🩺 What's wrong with your plant?
Yellow leaves, spots, bugs? In the diagnosis, pick the drawing that looks like the symptom and find out how urgent it is, why it happens and what to do.
🔔 Notifications that don't turn into noise
One reminder when it's time to water, and on the days off, a fun fact about your plants. No spam, no pointless alerts.
🔒 No account, no sign-up
All your data stays on your phone. No profile to create, no email to leave.
Perfect for balconies, patios, terraces, windowsills and container gardens, whether it's your very first plant or you've been growing herbs for years. Available in English and Italian.
Aromatica is free, with a few discreet banners to support its development. It's the first app from an independent developer, made by someone who lives on their balcony every day.
