「台指期」是台灣期貨交易所的商品，屬於期貨的一種，標的是「加權指數」，買賣「台指期」就相當於是看多或看空全台股的漲跌；「台指期」的一個單位為「一口」，台指期的一點代表的200元，所以當你買進台指期後，每當價格往上漲1點，你就會賺200元；反之，每當價格往下跌1點，就會賠200元。
