Hanpanhae: Chess, Gomoku, Yut Android

Hanpanhae brings six board games into one app — play by yourself, hand the phone back and forth with someone next to you, or match up online.

■ SIX GAMES
• Chess — full rules, with castling, en passant and promotion
• Reversi — the classic disc-flipping duel
• Omok (Gomoku) — five in a row, with optional double-three and overline rules
• Yut Nori — the traditional Korean board game, for 2 to 4 players
• Number Baseball — guess the hidden number from strikes and balls
• Wake Up! — a memory game where you wake sleeping animals in pairs

■ THREE WAYS TO PLAY
• Solo — face an AI opponent with several difficulty levels
• Pass and play — one phone, two players, taking turns
• Online — create a room, then send a link or the 6-digit code to a friend anywhere

■ ONLINE, WITHOUT THE FUSS
Your friend taps the link and lands straight in the room. Wins, losses, draws and streaks are kept for each game. Wake Up! also has a race mode: you both solve the same board at once, and whoever wakes them all first wins.

■ CHALLENGE MODE
Chess, Omok and Reversi each have a ladder of stages that unlock as you clear them. Earn up to three stars per stage: win, meet the extra condition, and finish within the target number of moves. Wake Up! has its own 24-stage ladder with a timer.

■ NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
Start playing straight away. Nothing to sign up for, no email, no password. Link Google Play Games if you want your progress backed up across devices — that part is entirely optional.

■ PLAY OFFLINE
Solo and pass-and-play work with no connection at all. Only online matches need the internet.

■ MADE TO BE PICKED UP AND PUT DOWN
Take a call, switch apps, come back — your board is still there. Turn timers, sound and haptics can each be turned off in Settings.

■ SAFE ONLINE PLAY
Chat during a match with preset phrases or your own words. Offensive language, links and phone numbers are filtered out, and you can report or block anyone who bothers you.
