■ How to Play

1. Enter the word using the character keyboard at the bottom of the screen.

2. The color of the character you entered returns as a hint.

3. Combine the hints to find the correct answer within six tries.

■ Color Hint Rules

• Green — The character is correct and the position is correct.

• Orange — The character is in the word, but the position is incorrect.

• Gray — That character is not in the word.

With each attempt, the outline of the answer is revealed little by little. The process of narrowing down the remaining characters is the fun of this game itself.

■ Deeper Deduction Because It's Hangul

Kodle is written out in character units rather than individual letters. Because compound vowels, double consonants, and double final consonants are broken down into smaller characters, they require a completely different texture of reasoning compared to English words. For example, 'ㅙ' is divided into 'ㅗ·ㅏ·ㅣ', and 'ㄳ' is divided into 'ㄱ·ㅅ'. This is a puzzle that can only be enjoyed by those who know Hangeul.

■ From Two to Four Characters

Start lightly with two-character words, then increase the difficulty with three and four-character words. As the number of characters increases, the combinations of characters grow exponentially, and your ability to read hints improves along the way.
