A driving game about the gearbox itself, with driving tests from 14 countries. 14 cars and 14 different transmissions: a 1950s-style crash box that needs double-declutching, a classic saloon with weak synchros, a 6-speed sport hatch, a loaded diesel van, a 4x4 with low range and a diff lock, a farm tractor and a nine-tonne lorry. Each has its own engine, clutch and gear ratios.

Then take the driving test the way an examiner marks it, with the rules of 14 countries, from the UK, Germany and Poland to Türkiye, India, South Africa and Brazil, including India's automated track tests: the forward 8, reverse S and up-gradient.

THE CLUTCH
Let it out too fast and the engine dies. Brake in gear with your foot off the clutch and it dies too. Feed it in gently and the car creeps at idle. Haptics let you feel the friction point: a judder while the plate slips, a shudder when the engine labours.

THE SHIFTER
Your right thumb drags the lever through a real gate: 1-2, 3-4, 5-R. Skip the clutch and the gears grind instead of engaging; under load the lever stays put. Beginners can switch on the automatic clutch in Settings.

THE EXAMINER'S SHEET
Every test counts minor and serious faults: pre-drive checks, signals and mirrors, crossings, emergency stop, reversing, parking between cones, pulling over to the kerb and switching off. One serious fault or two minor ones and it is over.

HILLS
Handbrake on, friction point, a touch of throttle, handbrake off. Stop signs on steep climbs, a red light on a slope, and Hill Master, where every hill is steeper than the last.

THE REST OF THE GARAGE
A hatchback to learn on, a pickup, a rally car, a dune buggy, a supercharged muscle car, a 720 hp hypercar and a trophy truck. Each one sounds and shifts differently.

Torque curves, gear ratios, tyre grip and brake heat. Wheelspin in rain and snow, engine braking downhill. Day, night, fog, rain and snow.
