This update makes the whole app faster to move through, fixes a batch of miscoded conditions, and adds a long list of job codes veterans asked for.
New: every screen folds up now. Based on your feedback, the sections across the app collapse, so you no longer scroll past your conditions to reach your daily symptom log, or past a dozen assignments to find your matches. Tap a section shut, get straight to what you use most, and the app remembers what you left open.
Fixed: job codes pointing at the wrong diagnostic codes. A full sweep through the MOS and duty tables turned up conditions that named the right injury but carried the wrong code.
New: tendinitis and bursitis in both limbs now count as bilateral. If you are rated for tendinitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, myositis, or heterotopic ossification in a paired joint (both shoulders, both wrists, both knees), you can now enter each side. Paired joints earn the bilateral factor under 38 CFR 4.26, which adds to your combined rating.
New: more job codes and more ways to find them. Added this month: Marine Corps 0916 Martial Arts Instructor, 6217 and 2502 Communications Officer, Air Force 46S3 Operating Room Nurse plus a rebuilt Nurse Corps, and Army 15E Pershing Missile Crewman. Search now also finds kyphosis, carbon monoxide poisoning, trunk scars, and 38 CFR section numbers typed straight in. Every one of these came from a veteran telling us it was missing.
Fixed: sharing the app sent no link. When you shared VA Ready, some apps stripped the App Store link out of the message, so your buddy got text with nothing to tap. The link is now sent on its own so it survives. If you shared the app before and nobody took you up on it, this is probably why.
