ThirdPerson is a journal that keeps your own words and, when you want, retells them as a story about you. “I walked by the canal after work” becomes “Alex walked by the canal after work.” It’s a small shift that makes your days easier to look back on, and sometimes easier to understand.

WRITE YOUR WAY
• Write a full entry, or capture quick notes during the day with Snippets and combine them into one entry later
• Add a date and a mood color to each entry
• Drafts save as you write, so nothing gets lost
• Your original is always saved first. Rewriting is optional.

REWRITE IN THE THIRD PERSON
• Turn any entry into a third-person story, a short summary and topic tags
• Uses your name and pronouns (he, she or they)
• Runs on your device with Apple Intelligence where available
• Compare a new rewrite with the old one before you replace it. Earlier versions stay in history.

STORY MODE
• Read any week, month or custom date range as one continuous story
• Switch between summaries, stories and your original words
• Scroll a timeline, or turn entries one at a time like pages in a book
• Create an on-device overview of a period and save it as a chapter

FIND ANY MEMORY
• Search your originals, stories, summaries and tags
• Filter by date, mood color or favorites
• Describe what you’re looking for, like “moments with family”, and on-device intelligence finds related tags
• Revisit On This Day memories and your favorites in Your Library

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Lock your journal with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode
• Hide your journal in the app switcher
• Discreet widgets show no diary content on your Home Screen
• Syncs through your private iCloud account
• Export a complete backup whenever you like, and restore without overwriting what you already have

About online rewriting: if you choose Online instead of On Device, your entry text, profile name, pronouns and previous summary are sent to an online service to create the rewrite. You can always save entries without rewriting.
