About AI Slop Detector
AI music ruining your holiday?
Beautiful beach. Cold drink. A soundtrack that sounds suspiciously like nobody meant a word of it.
AI Slop Detector listens to the music around you and checks for patterns associated with AI-generated audio. It automatically selects the local language and prepares a polite message asking for musicians’ own recordings, with an English translation underneath. Just show the screen.
We’ve tested it extensively in bars and restaurants, and it’s helped us get the music changed. The biggest surprise? The staff themselves thanked us.
Often, they’d simply put on a YouTube playlist labelled something like “relaxing music for western hotels”, expecting something their guests would enjoy. They welcomed the feedback.
It’s easy to see how this happens. In a Deezer and Ipsos study of 9,000 people across eight countries, 97% failed to correctly identify all three tracks as AI-generated or human-made in a blind listening test.
A friendly message in the local language can make all the difference. You might get a thank-you from the next table too.

Detection is experimental and results can be wrong. An alert isn’t proof of how a track was made.
Fun Mode is off by default. Inconclusive scans do not produce entertainment alerts unless you explicitly enable Fun Mode in Settings. Fun Mode alerts are not confirmed detections.
