Record the Sony ECM-AX10 directly to a four-channel AmbiX WAV on your iPhone or iPad. Start an audio recording, stop, and use the saved WAV without recording a video or exporting its soundtrack.
RECORD DIRECTLY TO AMBIX WAV
Ambicorder writes a four-channel, 48 kHz, 32-bit float WAV during your recording. The saved files match industry standards for the AmbiX profile: ACN channel order, W/Y/Z/X, and SN3D normalization.
RECORD AUDIO WITHOUT VIDEO
No need to start the camera or waste battery power. No movie file or video-to-audio export step. Find the finished recording in Files under Ambicorder, or share the latest WAV from the recorder.
SEE YOUR FOUR CHANNELS
Live meters, peak markers and numerical levels show each channel. Check input readiness before recording, use portrait or landscape, and switch between light and dark appearances. Audio recording can continue while you use another app!
HARDWARE REQUIRED
Sony ECM-AX10, a compatible USB-C iPhone or iPad, and iOS 17 or later. The microphone is sold separately. Ambicorder does not use the built-in microphone.
