About Amongst It
Something's happening nearby. Want in?
Amongst It tells you when a local event needs people, so you can put your hand up and join. You don't have to know anyone or scroll a feed.
How it works
• Tell us what you're into and how far you'll go. Set your interests and a distance.
• We tap you on the shoulder. When something nearby has open spots, you get a notification.
• Put your hand up. One tap to request a spot. Change your mind and you can take it back.
• Get accepted, get the details. The organiser's number and the exact location are shared, and yours is shared with them.
Run something yourself
Short a player? Need hands for a clean-up? Hosting a supper club? Post your event, pick a distance, and nearby people get notified. Review requests and choose who comes. One account does both: join or organise, whenever you like.
For all sorts of things
Sport, volunteering, markets, hikes, supper clubs, repair cafés and more. Sixteen categories, none treated as more important than another.
Straight about how it works
• Event locations are shown approximately until you're accepted.
• Phone numbers are swapped between organiser and joiner on acceptance. We tell you this when you sign up.
• People using Amongst It are not vetted, screened or background-checked. Use your judgement, and meet in public where it makes sense.
• You can report or block anyone at any time.
• No payments, no tickets, no ads in your way.
Why push, not a feed?
Amongst It is for acting on something that just came up, then getting on with your day. Sometimes there's nothing nearby, and we'll say so rather than pad the list.
