Anime and Sketch conversion runs on an AI model built into the app, entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to a server, so it works in Airplane Mode and anywhere with no signal. With no network to wait for, conversion is instant. A few seconds after you pick a photo, it is already finished.

You can also draw your own on a blank canvas.

Draw your own on a blank canvas. Pen, pencil, marker, highlighter, eraser and the other standard drawing tools are all here. Use your finger or Apple Pencil. When you are done, crop and share it just like a converted photo.

[Image Playground]
Create a new image from your photo with Apple Intelligence. Choose how it turns out: Animation, Illustration or Sketch.

■ How it works

1. Pick a card, then choose a photo from your library or take one with the camera (for freehand, tap Draw)
2. Adjust the framing on the crop screen. You can rotate and change the aspect ratio
3. Tap Done to share. Save it to Photos, send it in Messages, post it anywhere
