AR-X Groovebox

AR-X Groovebox is a fast, live-performance-focused synthesizer and sequencer, built around real-time responsiveness rather than deep menu-diving. With AR-REC, our newly developed sequencing method, you can actually perform the sequencer itself! Instead of tapping in steps one by one, AR-REC lets you spin an encoder to instantly cycle through 16-step patterns, building sequences on the fly. Pair it with a MIDI controller, and your finger movements become the sequence itself — a feel you won't find in any other mobile groovebox.

At its core is a 2-operator FM synth engine that keeps the parameter set intentionally lean for live use — but with 4 selectable waveforms per operator and a dedicated parameter sequencer, you can automate and morph your sound over time far beyond what a simple 2-op engine usually offers, opening up a surprisingly wide sonic range. The drum machine is deliberately simple, but its distortion and bit-crushing give it real teeth — perfect for savage, aggressive drum sounds.

Two independent AR-REC-powered step sequencers run side by side, and phrases can be transposed on the fly for evolving arrangements — giving you a wide range of ways to build a sequence. The XY pad handles four effect buses simultaneously, opening up even more room for sound design.

AR-X Grooveboxは、細かいメニュー操作よりも「ライブでの即応性」を重視した、グルーヴボックス型シンセ・シーケンサーです。新開発のAR-RECを用いることで、シーケンサーを演奏することができます！！ステップを1つずつタップして入力する一般的な方式ではなく、AR-RECのエンコーダーを回すだけで16ステップのパターンを瞬時に切り替えながら組み上げていく、風変わりな方式を採用しています。MIDIコントローラーと合わせて使うと、指先の動きがそのままシーケンスになる、他のモバイルグルーヴボックスにはない感覚です。

コアとなるシンセエンジンは、ライブ演奏を意識してあえてパラメーター数を絞った2オペレーターFM方式。しかし各オペレーターに4種類の波形を搭載し、さらに専用の「パラメーターシーケンサー」を備えたことで、時間とともに音色を自動で変化・展開させることができ、シンプルな2オペレーター構成からは想像以上に多様な音作りが可能です。ドラムマシンは簡易的でありながら、ディストーション・ビットクラッシュを扱えるようにしたことで狂暴な音が作り込める仕様です。

AR-REC搭載のステップシーケンサーを2系統独立して搭載、フレーズ単位でトランスポーズで展開を加えることも可能。幅広いシーケンス作りが楽しめます。XYパッドでは４系統のエフェクトが同時に扱えます。さらに幅広い音作りが可能です。
