AskSia: AI Tutor & Study Notes

AskSia is your AI tutor and AI study assistant. Upload lecture recordings, PDFs, slides, photos and class notes, and Sia turns them into notes, flashcards, practice tests and a study plan from your own courses. Trusted by 2M+ students at 2,000+ universities.

RECORD, TRANSCRIBE AND TRANSLATE YOUR LECTURE LIVE
Fast professor? Heavy accent? Tap record and read every word as it is spoken, whether the lecture is in English, Korean, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin or Spanish, translated into your language in real time. Recording continues when your phone is locked, a floating window keeps the transcript in view, and you can ask Sia questions mid-lecture. When the lecture ends you get a summary and an outline. Built for lectures and coursework, not meetings. 30+ languages supported.

ASK SIA ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR FILES OR AUDIO
Upload up to 20 files at once: PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint decks, Excel sheets, textbook chapters, audio files, YouTube links or photos. Ask a question and get an answer with citations that point to the exact page. Long readings become summaries with key points in your professor’s terms.

LECTURE IN, NOTES OUT
Any recording or file can become structured notes, a study guide, flashcards or a quiz, with spaced repetition built in so the cards you miss come back until you know them. Use the flashcard maker and quiz maker on one slide deck or a whole semester.

PRACTICE BEFORE IT COUNTS
Build timed practice tests and mock exams from your own course material, not from random question banks, with every miss explained. Use them for midterms, finals, college entrance and grad school exams. Preparing for a standardized test? Upload your prep materials and Sia turns them into practice sets and flashcards too.

SIA SHOWS THE STEPS, NOT JUST THE ANSWER
Snap a photo of a problem in math, physics, chemistry, biology, statistics, coding or engineering, or type it or say it out loud. Your AI tutor works through it step by step and explains the reasoning, not just the result. Ask why, ask again, or ask in your own language.

KNOW WHAT TO REVIEW BEFORE THE EXAM
Sia tracks what you get wrong across notes, flashcards and practice tests and tells you what to review next, so before an exam you know exactly what needs work.

BRING YOUR WHOLE SEMESTER IN ONE CLICK
Install the AskSia Chrome extension, import your courses from Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle or Brightspace, and your readings, slides and deadlines sync to the app. Sia builds a study plan from your syllabus that you follow on your phone.
