About ASTER: The Final Twelve Beats
An SOS from twelve years ago reaches your wrist.
ASTER: The Final Twelve Beats is an interactive mystery made exclusively for Apple Watch. Interpret haptic patterns, answer through movements of your wrist, and use Watch sensor records to uncover the truth behind a fatal accident.
Twelve years ago, an equipment failure occurred during a test of the ASTER haptic communication system at a remote mountain observatory.
Leo, a seventeen-year-old participant, was declared dead at the scene. Twelve years later, however, a recovered record suggests that he may have survived for another thirty-one minutes while continuing to send an SOS.
Leo’s sister, Mina, gathers everyone connected to the accident at the closed observatory.
You were Leo’s designated ASTER receiver. Only your Apple Watch, carrying the original receiver ID, can verify the records he left behind.
A blizzard cuts the observatory off from the outside world. Testimonies conflict. Video files have been erased. Equipment logs reveal unexplained operations. Then, during the investigation, a new incident begins to echo the past.
HAPTICS BECOME WORDS
Short and long vibrations combine to form messages.
Haptics become communications from the characters, while movements of your wrist become your replies.
• Interpret haptic patterns without relying on sound
• Reply through natural wrist movements
• Remain still to separate your movement from external movement
• Use direction readings to locate hidden signals
• Compare motion and orientation records with witness statements
Your Apple Watch is more than a small screen. It is a communicator, a measuring instrument and a piece of evidence.
CHOOSE WHO TO TRUST
Every person tells a different version of the past.
Who will you trust? Which record will you investigate? Who will receive the evidence? How much of the truth will you reveal?
Your decisions change the evidence you obtain, your relationships with the characters and the ending you reach.
• Chapters 0–7 plus an epilogue
• Approximately 100–125 minutes for a first playthrough
• Five endings
• Cinematic pixel art
• Automatic saving plus one manual save slot
• No voices, music or sound effects
ASTER requires watchOS 10.0 or later. It cannot be played on an iPhone alone and does not use an iPhone companion app.
Some scenes require sensor-based wrist or body movements. There are no time limits for these actions, and they can be paused or retried. Always check your surroundings before playing.
If haptics are disabled, every essential meaning can also be checked on screen.
ASTER does not access heart-rate data or other HealthKit information. It does not record audio or the surrounding environment. Raw motion, location and walking-history data are not stored in save files.
The SOS reached your wrist twelve years ago.
