- 📦BYOT Coding Agent updated to version 1.0.40Conversations are easier to follow:
- Every turn has a header that times it. It counts up while OpenCode works, then says "Worked for 2m 12s", "Stopped after …" or "Failed after …".
- A finished turn folds to its answer, the files and images it produced, and one "Changed N files" list. Tap the header to see every tool call, reasoning step and token line again.
- Tool calls made back to back share one line, such as "Read 3 files · Ran 2 commands".
Fixes for screens that reacted badly to being left mid-load:
- Leaving the projects screen while it was still loading could leave an error message and a blank workspace behind. A cancelled request is no longer treated as a failure, so the last known state stays put.
- Saved sessions now say "Connecting" while byot reaches your server, instead of "Status unavailable". A sleeping computer could leave every row reading "Status unavailable" for up to a minute. "Status unavailable" is now kept for a server that answered with an error, and that project shows the reason.
- While the "Showing sessions saved ..." notice is up, rows show no status, since none is known.
- The camera, microphone, speech recognition and local network prompts now always show their explanation in English as well as Simplified Chinese.
- If you have anonymous usage data on, leaving the session list mid-load no longer counts as a network error, and the server you connect to is counted correctly when you opt in during that launch.… more - 📈BYOT Coding Agent entered the top 100Top Free · Developer Tools · RU

- Pair with OpenCode 2 codes from opencode pair and opencode pair --remote.
- Conversations reconnect by themselves after a network change, after the computer sleeps, or when you return to byot.
- Clearer pairing messages when a code points at the computer's own address or when the relay is down.
- Tidier session list and composer: one menu for the top-right controls, composer controls fit on narrow screens, and Stop stays visible while a stop is in progress.… more - 📦BYOT Coding Agent: now updating weekly4 updates in 30 days, after a quiet two months

- 📦BYOT Coding Agent updated to version 1.0.32Optional anonymous usage data, and a way to say thanks:
- Usage data is off until you turn it on. BYOT asks once after you add a server, and the switch is in About byot under Privacy. It sends only which features you use and whether turns finish, never your prompts, code, server addresses, or project names. Details at byot.app/privacy.
- After a few finished turns, BYOT may ask for a star on GitHub, and later for a rating. Later hides the card for six days.

About BYOT Coding Agent
BYOT is a native client for OpenCode, the open-source coding agent. Connect to the OpenCode server running on your own computer and drive coding sessions from your iPhone or iPad.
Browse projects and sessions, send prompts with photos or files, and watch assistant text, reasoning, and tool activity stream live. Inspect tool inputs, progress, output, and errors. Answer permission requests and questions from your server, queue follow-up prompts, and choose models from your server's catalog. Review session diffs when your server supports them.
Switch between saved servers, group sessions by project or browse them in one list, and find sessions by title, project, or path. Unsent text and attachments stay on this iPhone across session changes and app relaunches. Choose System, Light, or Dark appearance.
With the optional BYOT companion running on your computer, get notifications for approvals, questions, completed turns, and errors. Enable the computer queue to keep accepted prompts running in order while BYOT is closed. Your computer must remain awake and the companion connected. Work that has not finished uploading needs BYOT to reconnect; uncertain delivery requires your review.
BYOT supports OpenCode 1 and OpenCode 2 beta servers with automatic protocol detection. Available features depend on the server version; some OpenCode 2 beta servers do not expose per-session diffs.
Your server does the work. BYOT renders its responses and sends your instructions over HTTPS. There is no BYOT account or sign-up, and no tracking. Anonymous usage data is off until you turn it on, and it never includes your prompts, code, server addresses, or project names. Server passwords are stored in the iOS Keychain. In direct mode, prompts and attachments go to your configured server and the model providers you enable there. Optional notifications and the computer queue use the BYOT relay for device registration, delivery, and encrypted queued content. See the privacy policy for storage and retention details.
Requires an OpenCode server you operate, reachable over HTTPS, for example through Tailscale. Notifications and the computer queue also require the BYOT companion. BYOT is an independent client and is not affiliated with the OpenCode project.
