About Card Choices
Card Choices is an app built upon request by a mother using "Make a Choice" to help her son with his comprehension.
Card Choices seeks to provide a way for a parent or teacher to create "lessons" comprising 2 to 4 categories where each category can have a number of associated cards.
During a lesson, the student is presented with the cards, one at a time, in random order and is then asked to identify which category the card belongs in.
This is a way to teach things like word-image association, word groupings, sorting and so on. You can import your own images, assign them to a card, and then group those cards in categories. Cards can be reused in multiple categories, making it easy to then create new lessons that teach other subjects whilst utilising those same cards.
For example, a card containing a picture of a banana might be used for a category grouping cards containing fruit, or it might be used in a category grouping cards depicting things that are yellow.
The app is built to be (hopefully) easy to use and navigate. On iOS and iPadOS, and via Mac Catalyst, the app has been enhanced to support VoiceOver throughout, making it accessible to students of varying special needs.
The app works on iPhone/iPad and Mac.
You have the ability to share configurations between devices, and save that configuration to your iCloud Drive. This give you the ability to create configurations that can be used to teach a set of subjects, share it with students, and let them practice the lessons and share their results with you.

** This app will never have subscriptions, nor will it have IAP, or ads.
** Please note that the cards and lessons shown in the screenshots and previews are examples only; the app does not come with built in lessons so that you can create your own to suit the need of your family or students.
