About Card Dealer: Solo Card Games
Three card games that fit in a coffee break.
SIMPLY 1
Pick a target: 100, 250 or 500. Deal cards one at a time from two decks, with every Ace counting 1. Every card pushes your total closer to the line. Stand whenever you like and you score the number of cards you dealt. Land exactly on the target and it still counts. Go over and you bust. The shoe deals without replacement, so every card you've seen changes what's left.
PIQUET
The classic two-player game Edmond Hoyle wrote up in 1744, played against the computer. You each get 12 cards from a 32-card deck, 7 up to Ace. Swap cards with the spare pile, then compare hands three ways: most cards in a suit, the longest run, and sets of three or four. Then play 12 tricks with no trumps. Two deals, and the higher total takes the game.
2 PLUS
Beat the dealer to 21. You get two cards and the dealer shows one. Draw up to five cards or stand, then watch the dealer play out their hand. Aces count as 11 or 1. Five cards without busting is an automatic win.
