About CDL School Bus Exam Prep 2026
Pass your CDL School Bus (S) endorsement — first try.
Real DMV exam format: 20 questions, 25 minutes, 80% to pass.
500+ practice questions from the 2026 CDL handbook. Study offline.
CDL School Bus Test 2026 is built for one job: get you the School Bus (S) endorsement. Not a generic truck-driver app with a buried school-bus chapter. Every lesson, mock exam, and explanation is S-endorsement material — danger zones, mirrors, loading and unloading, railroad crossings, evacuation, post-trip inspection, ABS, and student management.
THE REAL TEST, NOT A TRIVIA QUIZ
The written School Bus exam is typically 20 multiple-choice questions. You need 16 correct (80%) in about 25 minutes. Our mock exam uses that same format so test day feels familiar.
WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE
• Danger zones and mirrors — 30 feet in front, 10 feet on the sides, the 400-foot rear blind spot, convex vs. flat vs. crossover mirrors
• Loading and unloading — amber warning lights, stop arm, 10-foot bumper stop, students walking 12 feet away, never backing to a missed stop
• Railroad-highway crossings — 15 to 50 feet from the nearest rail, containment (bus length + 15 feet), passive crossings, stall-on-tracks evacuation
• Emergency exit and evacuation — when you MUST empty the bus, when students are safer onboard, two older students at each exit
• Equipment and post-trip — walk the aisle, sleeping child check, battery box, handicap lift, ABS malfunction lamp
• School Bus core — student behavior, high wind, when to back the bus, P + S endorsements
HOW TO STUDY
1. Follow the 6-lesson Study Path. Score 80% to unlock the next lesson.
2. Drill weak topics until explanations stick.
3. Take the timed 20-question mock exam.
4. Review every miss before you book the DMV.
Built around FMCSA / CDL handbook topics used in all 50 states. State and local loading laws always come first — the app flags that wherever it matters.
50 STATES
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
