CheckMate 380

CheckMate 380 is built around a simple idea: in the flight deck and the simulator, kind-of-knowing isn't enough. You either know it, or you don't. CheckMate is the all-in-one study companion that gets A380 pilots to that level of confidence — for simulator checks, line checks, and command upgrades.

Every question is human-reviewed for accuracy and currency — 1,300+ questions, last full review October 2026, with the review date always visible in the app.

CheckMate addresses a familiar problem for A380 pilots: vague preparation. Scattered notes, outdated PDFs, fragmented question banks, and the nagging feeling of having seen something before but not really knowing it. CheckMate is structured around recall, not recognition. Walk into your check knowing your material, not hoping you'll remember it.

CALIBRATED FOR MIDDLE EAST OPERATIONS Content reflects regional regulatory frameworks, operational practices, and the airlines flying the A380 in the region. Core technical content — aircraft systems, memory items — applies to the A380 worldwide. Operational scenarios, SOPs, and command upgrade material are calibrated to Middle East operations and may differ from your airline if you fly elsewhere.

DESIGNED FOR IPAD Best experienced on iPad Pro in landscape orientation. Full dark and light themes.

STUDY YOUR WAY Over 1,250 practical, technical, and command upgrade questions covering systems, limitations, abnormal procedures, memory items, SOPs, adverse weather, and more. Three study modes built to push you from recognition to true recall:
• Flashcards — step-by-step reveals that force you to think before you see the answer.
• Active Recall — type your answer from raw memory before checking. No multiple-choice safety net.
• Pressure Mode — countdown timer with mental-maths distractors that simulate the cognitive load of a real sim environment.

SMART, COMPETENCY-BASED PREP Set your sim or line check date and build a personalised plan around it. Your plan starts broad while time is on your side, then automatically narrows to Level 1 and 2 priorities and weak areas as your date approaches. Topics you've been getting wrong get mixed back in until you own them.

BUILD YOUR SCENARIO Use the Scenario Builder to plan exactly what you'll face — pick your airport, weather, approach type, and failures. Create a Scenario Summary for how you'll manage each situation. Review the ICAO competency framework and select which observable behaviours you want to demonstrate. Export your entire prep pack as a PDF to review on the way to the sim.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS See your recent accuracy trend session by session, track your study streak, and identify the areas that still need work. Pressure Mode tracks your recall speed so you can watch yourself getting sharper as your check date approaches.
