Active users
All platforms, worldwide. Free with an account.
Stickiness (DAU / MAU)
how many monthly users open it on a given day
How this is calculated
Monthly users come from lifetime installs across every store, fitted on monthly active user figures companies publish; daily users = monthly × the typical daily/monthly ratio for the category. Confidence is the chance the real number is within half to double ours.

About CoinBox: AI Budget Planner App
Sound familiar? Payday hits, and a week later you have no idea where it all went. Some subscription got charged that everyone forgot about. A loan sitting in one app, a debt to a mate buried in Notes, cashback that never lands on the right card.
CoinBox grew out of exactly that mess. It started as a quick way to track my own spending, and little by little, everything else moved in too.
The main thing is that logging an expense shouldn't feel like a chore. So you can just say: "coffee 3, taxi 15, lunch 8." All three get logged at once - the AI works out the category, amount, and currency on its own. It understands natural speech in 30+ languages. If you'd rather type it in, there's a keyboard with a built-in calculator.
Where the money goes
• Category breakdowns and comparisons with last month
• An AI spending audit: it looks at the last 3, 6, or 12 months and honestly shows where your money is leaking, which subscriptions you don't need, and what budget you can actually stick to. It only runs if you give it the go-ahead
• "What you could've bought" - the most sobering screen in the app. Small purchases over a month or a year turn into cups of coffee, trips to the cinema, sometimes even a car. You can turn any of these into a savings goal right away
Making it last till the end of the month
• A daily limit shows how much you can still spend today. Don't spend it all and the rest rolls over to tomorrow; go over and tomorrow's a little tighter
• A short evening summary tells you how much you saved compared to a typical day
• Budgets by category and savings goals
Subscriptions, loans, and debts
• All your subscriptions in one list. If you've started a trial somewhere, CoinBox reminds you before the first charge, so you don't end up paying for something you don't use
• Loans and mortgages with a full repayment schedule. You can calculate early repayment - shorten the term or lower the payment. Set up an instalment purchase right when you add the expense
• Debts: who owes whom, by when, and how much's already been paid back. If a mate forgets, you can send them a polite nudge
• Upcoming payments show right in the widget
Making your money work
• Cashback: add your cards and this month's categories, and the app tells you which card to use
• Investments: crypto, shares, ETFs, property, and deposits in one portfolio, with prices updating on their own
• Accounts in different currencies: cards, cash, savings
• Income too, so you see more than just what's going out
While travelling
• Travel mode: spend in the local currency and everything converts automatically
• Up to 5 extra currencies, with an exchange rate you can adjust by hand
And the small things that make life easier
• Widgets for every taste, including the lock screen, plus a Control Centre button for logging an expense fast
• Custom categories, tabs, and app icons
• Search by notes, amounts, and dates
• Notifications that adapt to your rhythm
• Import and export to CSV and Excel, plus backups

Latest updates
3.0
This is the biggest CoinBox update yet. It used to be just expenses and income - now loans, investments, cashback, and a lot more have moved in.
New design
• The app now follows the iOS 27 style: glass buttons and panels, plus new cards in Statistics, Subscriptions, Goals, Search and Settings
Statement import
• Upload a statement from any bank: PDF, Excel, CSV or photos of the pages. CoinBox finds your expenses and income and sorts them into your own categories
• Check everything before it's added: possible duplicates and transfers between your own accounts are highlighted, and you can untick anything you don't need
Loans and mortgages
• A full payment schedule, early repayment that shortens the term or lowers the payment, and reminders before every payment
• Set up an instalment purchase right when you add the expense
Investments
• Crypto, shares, ETFs, property, and deposits in one portfolio
• Prices update on their own, plus a portfolio value chart and an asset breakdown
Cashback
• Add your cards and this month's categories, and CoinBox tells you which card to use. At the start of the month, it reminds you to update your categories
Where the money goes
• An AI spending audit: a breakdown over 3, 6, or 12 months - where your money is leaking, which subscriptions you don't need, and what budget you can actually stick to
• "What you could've bought": small purchases turn into cups of coffee, trips to the cinema, or even a car. You can turn any of these into a savings goal right away
• Daily savings: in the evening, you get a summary of how much you saved compared to a typical day, plus two new achievements for frugal days
• Category groups, like "Personal" and "Business": view stats for each one separately. Turn it on in settings
Currencies
• Every account can now have its own currency, and transfers between them factor in the exchange rate
• Up to 5 extra currencies now, and you can adjust the exchange rate by hand right when you add an expense
Debts and subscriptions
• Debts now show timing: how many days are left or how overdue they are. If a mate forgets, you can send them a polite nudge
• Debt payments are now deducted from the right account, and getting a debt repaid is logged as income
• If you've started a trial somewhere, CoinBox reminds you before the first charge
• You can link subscriptions to an account
Widgets
• New "Upcoming Payments" and "Goals" widgets, and on the lock screen - how much you can still spend today
• Updated design, and widgets no longer show yesterday's numbers
And more
• Export to Excel
• More than five tabs: extras move into "More"
• 5 new app icons
• The daily limit is fairer now: overspending gets deducted from tomorrow's limit
• Pence now enter properly, and the decimal separator on the keyboard follows your region and language
• "Delete All Data" now actually deletes everything
• Voice input not picking up speech on some iPhones - fixed
• The "Ask a Question" form is working again. If you wrote in and didn't get a reply, please write again
• The app is noticeably faster now, especially with lots of entries, and lots of bugs fixed
Thanks for using CoinBox! If something's broken or missing, get in touch through "Ask a Question" in settings.
