We have prepared two versions of our guide – one for adults and one for younger travellers.
The adult version includes a total of 17 stops and 50 minutes of fascinating audio commentary. We will take you through all of the Colosseum's incredible features, from its breathtaking exterior, the massive Arena and stands, to the sprawling underground hypogeum. There are plenty of riveting stories for you, too, exploring the impressive construction of the amphitheatre, the brutal lives of gladiators and the bloody spectacles that thrilled the ancient Romans.
The Guide for Young Tourists has 9 stops and about 20 minutes of stories. It was written by Robb Maciąg, a traveller, explorer and author of travel books for young people! It tells the story of the Colosseum in a simple and interesting way, full of questions and puzzles that stimulate the imagination. The whole family can discover the secrets of this extraordinary place together.
We also have a mini-glossary of the most important concepts of amphitheatre architecture.
