Confess: Catholic Confession

Walk into the confessional with nothing left to remember.

Confess guides you through a real examination of conscience, holds your
list until you go, and shows you the words when you kneel down. Everything
stays on your phone, encrypted, with no account and no server.

PREPARE WELL
Most Catholics want to go to confession more regularly. The barrier is rarely willingness — it's preparation. CONFESS removes that barrier with three examination modes designed around your actual life:

Daily Check (2–4 min) builds a daily habit of conscience awareness. Quick, focused, and designed to be done between confessions so nothing accumulates unexamined.

Full Examination (10–20 min) covers all ten commandments, the Precepts of the Church, Interior Disposition, and Sins of Omission — tailored to your state of life as a single adult, married person, parent, priest, or religious.

Going Today is a complete guided walkthrough for when you're preparing to go to confession. It opens with a prayer to the Holy Spirit, walks through what makes a good confession, presents your full examination, guides you through the Act of Contrition, and ends with a private confession screen — a full black display showing only your sins, the opening script, and the closing words, so you can walk into the confessional with nothing left to remember.

YOUR CONFESSION LIST
Every examination you complete adds to a running Confession List that persists between sessions. When Going Today, the list is already waiting for you — everything you've examined since your last confession, in one place, ready to bring to the priest.

EVENING EXAMEN
A guided five-step Ignatian Examen for nightly reflection: Gratitude, Awareness, Review, Sorrow, and Hope. Each step includes a timer, a text editor, and optional voice recording. Completions save automatically to your spiritual journal.

SPIRITUAL JOURNAL
A private encrypted journal for resolutions, reflections, examen entries, and free notes. Full-text search. Filter by type. Set reminders on resolutions.

CATHOLIC PRAYERS
A complete Catholic prayer library including the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Act of Contrition, and over 30 additional prayers. Each prayer includes Read, Learn, and Line-by-Line modes for memorization.

LITURGICAL CALENDAR
The home screen reflects the liturgical season in real time — the correct season, week number, saint of the day, today's gospel reading linked to the USCCB, and a single accent color corresponding to the day's liturgical color.

COMPLETELY PRIVATE
Everything is stored on your device and nowhere else. All examination sessions, journal entries, and reflection notes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. No iCloud sync. No server communication. No analytics on personal content. Face ID and Touch ID protect the app on launch. Confession summaries delete automatically after a configurable period.

GROUNDED IN TRADITION
Every examination question carries a Catechism of the Catholic Church reference. The app was built on 2,000
