About Connect4 Vanilla Remake
Connect4 Vanilla is the classic game of four in a row – made with care, without ads and without distractions.
Drop your chips into the board, one after the other, and be the first to line up four of your colour: horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Simple to learn, surprisingly deep to master.
A COMPUTER OPPONENT WITH A PEDIGREE
The opponent is based on the knowledge-based approach of Victor Allis, whose master's thesis showed in 1988 that the game can be solved. Choose from five levels – from Beginner to Very strong. Beginners get a fair chance; at the highest level the computer plays with an opening book and deep search, and every win against it is earned.
PLAY ON TWO DEVICES
Sit across the table, each with your own iPhone, iPad or Mac: one player hosts a game, the other joins it – no Wi-Fi network and no internet needed, just Wi-Fi switched on. Every chip falls on both devices at the same moment, in timed games both clocks run in sync, and after each game a rematch is one tap away. The statistics keep your record against every device you have played.
FEELS LIKE THE REAL THING
• Real board graphics and chips that fall with physics, bounce and land with a click
• Sounds recorded from a real game
• A 3D camera flight through the board as intro
• The winning four light up, and the result is put in the spotlight
• When the game is over, the chips tumble out of the board and pile up on the table
PLAY YOUR WAY
• Against the computer, with two players on one device, or on two devices nearby
• Choose your colour and who starts
• Against the computer, take back your last move with one tap
• Timed games with a chess clock (1 to 15 minutes)
• Smileys show how the engine rates the position after every move
• Your game is saved automatically – continue any time
• Statistics of your wins, losses and draws for every level and against every other device
• Easy controls: touch above a column, swipe down – and the chip drops
• A short illustrated guide explains the rules, the controls and playing on two devices
FOR EVERYONE
• For iPhone, iPad and Mac
• In English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian and Korean
• No ads, no tracking, no data collection – your settings and statistics stay on your device
