About DakiniSpace
DakiniSpace is a sound space you can leave running.
It paints with sound. Slow, evolving drones, built from the individual partials of real gongs, drift around you like brushstrokes, each one placed and moving in three-dimensional binaural space or stereo. Behind them lies a canvas with a maximum of four layers: a cedar grove, a stream, surf, a distant storm, a heartbeat. The drones are never a recording on repeat: they keep changing, and the longer a session runs, the further it travels from where it started.
HEADPHONES OR SPEAKERS
Binaural for headphones, stereo for speakers. Every drone is panned around you. An animated scope shows where each one is.
BUILT TO BE LEFT ALONE
Choose your drones and a canvas, set a fade-in, a fade-out, and a session length, lock the screen and put the phone down. It keeps playing, keeps changing, and fades out gently at the end.
• 30 panned drones: 29 analyzed from real gongs, one from a voice processed into a choir
• 11 canvases: Stream, Surf, Cedar Grove, Brook and Birds, Storm, Heartbeat, two Warm Hums and three voice textures
• Up to 10 drones and 4 canvases at once, each with its own level
• Nature canvases from field recordings made for DakiniSpace
• Save the combinations you like as presets and load them
• Gentle fades at both ends, so nothing ever starts or stops abruptly
• Binaural and stereo modes, with treble, mid, bass and balance for speakers
• Alarms with wake sounds made from your own drones (iOS 26)
IT WORKS WITH EVERYTHING SWITCHED OFF
DakiniSpace makes no network calls of any kind: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no remote configuration, no license check. Airplane mode is a supported way to use it. Nothing about your listening leaves the phone, because nothing about your listening is recorded in the first place.
