About Dirtmo: Dirt Bike Trail Maps
Dirtmo is the ride app built for dirt bike riders.
Open the map, find the trails, and go. Record the ride, see your friends live while you’re out, and know that someone always knows where you are. It works when the cell signal doesn’t.
MAPS THAT WORK IN THE WOODS
Trails and riding areas across the US and Canada, free to download and use offline. Browse the map without an account. When the signal drops, the map stays.
RECORD EVERY RIDE
One tap to start. Time, distance, your line on the trail, and your climbs, saved on your phone first, then uploaded when you’re back in range. A ride is never thrown away because you had no signal.
SEE YOUR CREW LIVE
Ride together and see your friends move on the map, with their photos. Only the friends you choose, only during that ride.
YOUR PIT CREW KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE
Send your partner, a parent or the buddy waiting at the truck a simple code. They follow your ride from their own phone, no account needed: where you are, how long you’ve been out, and when you’re due back.
EVERY TRAIL IS TIMED
Your ride is matched to the trails you rode. See your time on every trail, trail leaderboards, and medals for your personal bests. Your riding level is earned from your real trail times, never typed in.
YOUR GARAGE
Keep your bikes with their photos, engine hours and maintenance. Know when the air filter is due before it costs you.
FEED, FRIENDS AND CLUBS
Share rides and photos with friends, comment, and tag who you rode with. Follow your local clubs to see their rides and posts. Find riders to ride with, and plan a ride before you go.
BUILT FOR THE RIDE
- Hazard reports and trail conditions from riders
- Route back to where you started
- Apple Watch app: your ride, the map and your friends on your wrist
- Light and dark, large text and VoiceOver supported
YOU CONTROL WHO SEES WHAT
Your exact tracks and home area stay private. Friends see what you share, and you choose whether your trail times show on leaderboards. You can block and report any rider or post.
Free to use. For riders 18 and older.
Ride safe. Bring a buddy. Tell someone where you’re going.

TAILGATE DEBRIEF
Event: 1.4.0
Engines off, helmets on the tailgate. Who actually won? Derek? Max? Now there are numbers.
RIDE RESULTS: WHO WON, TRAIL BY TRAIL
Ride with your crew and Dirtmo scores every trail you all rode, like a tiny race. Open the ride afterwards to see the podium, who beat who, and by how many seconds. Your own times and your buddies' places are free. Dirtmo Pro adds every rider's time, the gaps and your new bests.
Good to know: a trail only counts when two or more riders rode it. A tie shows as a tie. Marlon, a radiator is not a trail feature, so a bent one does not count as a heat.
SHARE THE PODIUM
One tap makes a picture of the crew's podium, with faces, names and medals, ready to post. Also ready to wave at Derek, who "wasn't really trying".
WERE YOU RIDING WITH MAX?
Rode with a friend and forgot to tag them? Dirtmo spots two rides that overlap and asks. Tap yes and the ride joins the scoreboard. Tap no if it is wrong. Max, you know what you did.
TOGETHER: A NEW TAB ON A FRIEND'S PROFILE
Riding buddies shows your hours in the seat, your trails, your longest day, and the first ride you did together. Matt, seat time is counted too. We are not saying anything about hockey. We are just counting.
Head to head keeps the season score: trails won, dead heats, the closest battles. Hit Share for an A vs B poster, and Change line for another headline. Yes, Derek, you can frame it.
YOUR ONLY BIKE, ON EVERY RIDE
Got one bike in the garage? Dirtmo now puts it on every ride for you. With more than one, you still pick per ride.
A NUDGE WHEN THE RESULTS ARE IN
You get a notification when your crew's ride is scored. It sits under Ride alerts, so you can turn it off in one place.
IN THE PITS (PRIVACY)
Your trail times reach other riders only while "Share efforts" is on. Take yourself off a friend's ride and your times leave your rivalry with them. Your own track and your privacy zones stay yours.
Podium photo, complaint, or a heat we should add? You → Settings → Contact us. A real person reads every one.
1.1.0
DIRTMO 1.1.0 · SERVICE RECORD
Bike in for: first big service after launch.
Rider complaint: "My buddies teleport around the map like it's a video game."
Mechanic's notes below.
LIVE MAP: rebuilt
Your friends' dots now update every couple of seconds and glide between spots, instead of warping across the mountain. When you stop looking at the map, it stops working hard, so your battery makes it to the end of the day.
TRAIL LOADING: tuned
Tap a new riding area and its trails start downloading before the map even finishes zooming in. On Wi-Fi we prefetch the nearby areas too, like checking the next section before you drop in.
POSTING: decluttered
The row of mystery icons is gone. Everything has a name now, and "Where" is one choice: a trail or a riding area. Fewer taps, more riding.
FOREST SERVICE ROADS: added to the report list
Trees don't care what kind of road they fall on. Long-press an FSR to report a tree down, washout or whatever else the mountain left there.
TINY TRAILS: leaderboards removed
Trails 100 m or shorter no longer have a leaderboard. Nobody needed a KOM for the parking lot connector.
TRAIL STATUS: less noise
Clubs no longer post "open, open, open". If a trail was closed and reopens, its panel says "Reopened 2h ago" for a day, then gets out of your way.
RIDE PAGES: small but satisfying
On a friend's ride, slide along a trail's height graph and the dot follows on the map. Rides also show who you rode with, and Find riders helps you track down your next crew.
WHOLE BIKE: gone over bolt by bolt
Smoother scrolling, faster startup, no map flash when signal drops in the trees, and less work in the background. Torqued to spec.
RECORDING SCREEN: smoothed out
The map while you ride now runs twice as smooth and stays flat, no more tilted view fighting the bumps. You're an orange ball with an arrow, easy to spot at a glance. Battery low? It quietly eases off to save juice.
BACK TO START: follows your tracks
No trails mapped where you are? Back to start now leads you home along the line you actually rode, not a straight shot through the bush.
TOO-SHORT RIDES: caught at the finish
Hit record by accident in the parking lot? A 10-second "ride" now asks if you want to delete it, and short rides stay out of everyone's feed.
APPLE WATCH: recalibrated
Rides recorded on your watch now log calories and draw your route map in the Fitness app. If another workout is already running, it asks before taking over. Missing something? Settings tells you exactly which Health switch to flip.
PLAN A RIDE: easier to start
Press and hold anywhere on the map and Dirtmo suggests loops from there. No more empty screen staring back at you.
NEWS FROM DIRTMO: installed
Updates from us now show up in your feed, so you hear about new stuff here first, not as a rumour at the trailhead.
CUSTOMER FEEDBACK: please
Found a bug? Got an idea? Go to You → Settings → Contact us and tell us. A real person reads every message, and a lot of this update started there.
Next service: soon. Keep it pinned.
