• Open the app to a blank map and, with your permission, it zooms in on your neighbourhood

DRAWING THAT JUST WORKS
• Draw on Apple Maps in standard or satellite view
• Pen and arrow in four bold colours that stand out on either view
• Dashed lines for footpaths and ‘walk this way’
• Hold at the end of a line to snap it straight
• Hold at the end of a loop to turn it into a neat circle, oval, triangle or rectangle
• Your drawing stays on the right streets as you zoom and pan
• Move or erase any line, and undo or redo your changes

MARK YOUR DESTINATION
• Drop a pin and give it one of 16 icons – Stay, Food, Coffee, Sight, Parking, Start Point and more
• Search for a hotel, café or museum and the pin picks a matching icon for you
• Add a note such as ‘Tickets at the east gate, lunch at 1 pm’ and show it on the picture

SHARE YOUR PLAN IN SECONDS
• Preview the exact picture before you send it, and fit your whole route in the frame
• Add an Apple Maps link to your destination so friends can get directions, plus a Google Maps link if they prefer
