About Drawing Painting Coloring Arts
Turn blank-page nerves into finished art. Draw, color, and learn step by step without getting lost in a crowded studio. Make a quick sketch, finish a coloring page, or start a guided drawing lesson in one place.
In the app
- Draw on a square canvas with Pencil, Pen, Marker, Watercolor, Charcoal, Oil, Crayon, Calligraphy, and Eraser, then fine-tune your look with brush size, marker opacity, undo, redo, and clear canvas.
- Pick from a 12-swatch palette or use the full color wheel when you want a custom shade for sketching, painting, or coloring.
- Open Color mode and choose from original templates in Botanical, Animals, Still life, and Architecture & landscape, with line art placed on a locked guide layer so you can focus on coloring.
- Start Sketch Coach with your own prompt or one of the 12 suggestion chips like a sleeping cat, fern frond, coffee cup, lighthouse, or mountain scene.
- Follow a six-stage lesson from Basic shapes to Color and detail, with a ghost guideline that shifts from simple shapes to contour to detail as you progress.
- Finish a lesson and get a short critique with one praise line and one next-step suggestion, then share your finished artwork right away.
- Save every piece to your Library, filter by Draw, Color, or Lessons, then continue editing, rename, delete, or share from the artwork detail view or a long press.
Perfect when
You want to draw a fox from memory and need a clear path, not a pile of brush menus. You have 20 minutes before bed and want to color a Spring tulip or a Perched owl, save it, and come back later. You doodled a coffee cup and want to clean it up with Marker, adjust opacity, and share the finished image. You want a child to learn with Sketch Coach using the sleeping cat or owl prompts and keep the lesson on this device.
Why Drawing Painting Arts
Drawing Painting Arts helps you sketch, paint, color, and practice drawing lessons on your iPhone. What makes it stand out is how the three main modes work like one studio: Draw for freehand art, Color for curated pages, and Learn for guided practice with stage-by-stage tips, a progress bar, and a fading guide. Your prompt, strokes, and critique stay on this device, and if the on-device coach is not available, the curated lesson library keeps Sketch Coach useful instead of blocking you.
Paid features
Some brushes, templates, and extras are part of Pro, including Watercolor, Charcoal, Oil, Crayon, Calligraphy, the Architecture & landscape pack, iCloud sync, and more layers for free drawing. Free use includes a small banner in parts of the app and an optional rewarded ad for extra Sketch Coach lessons. Notifications are optional if you turn on the daily prompt reminder.
Start with Draw, pick a coloring page, or try today’s prompt and build your next artwork one stage at a time.
