Duck Hunting Journal

Duck Hunting Journal — Your Complete Digital Hunting Journal

About

Duck Hunting Journal is the ultimate field companion for waterfowl hunters. Designed by hunters, for hunters, this app replaces the traditional paper journal with a powerful digital journal that syncs across all your Apple devices. Whether you're in the blind at dawn or reviewing your season from the couch, Duck Hunting Journal keeps every detail of your hunts organized and at your fingertips.

Key Features

Record Every Hunt
Create detailed journal entries for each hunt including the date, location name, and precise GPS coordinates captured right from the blind. Never forget where that honey hole was — your exact position is saved with a tap.

Track Your Hunting Party
Add hunters to each trip and track who was in the blind with you. The app remembers hunters from previous trips, so adding your regular crew is quick and easy — just start typing a name and select from your suggestions.

Record Your Harvest
Record every bird taken with species, count, and which hunter made the shot. The app includes a built-in list of common North American waterfowl species for quick selection, or type in any species you need. See your total bird count at a glance for each hunt.

Real-Time Weather Conditions
Every experienced hunter knows that weather drives duck movement. Log the actual conditions at your blind — not what the forecast said from 50 miles away. Record temperature, wind speed, wind direction (with full compass rose including N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW), sky conditions (Clear, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, Overcast, Foggy), and precipitation type (Rain, Snow, Sleet, Hail, Drizzle, Freezing Rain). Over time, you'll build a personal database of what conditions produce the best hunts at your favorite spots.

Capture the Moment
Add photos to any hunt entry directly from your camera while you're in the blind, or choose from your photo library later. View photos full-screen with a tap, and easily remove any you don't want. Your hunt photos print right alongside your journal entry.

iCloud Sync Across Devices
Your journal automatically syncs between your iPhone and iPad through iCloud. Enter a hunt on your phone in the field, then review it on your iPad at home. All your data — entries, photos, and harvest records — stays in sync across all your devices.

Print Your Journal
Print individual hunt reports complete with all details, harvest data, and photos. Or print a full season summary with date filtering — perfect for end-of-season review or sharing with your hunting club. The printed reports feature a clean, professional layout worthy of any hunting lodge wall.

Export to Excel
Export your entire hunt log as a CSV file that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application. Every data point is included — dates, locations, GPS coordinates, species, harvest counts, hunter names, weather conditions, and notes. Analyze your season, track trends, or share data with fellow hunters
