DWD FlugWetter

This app is an add-on to the pc_met Internet Service of Deutscher Wetterdienst and covers in this new version the following sections of the entire product range:

− Current aviation weather summary for your area in Germany (in German only)
− GAFOR Germany in map display
− METAR and TAF (single reports, proximity search, routing)
− Meteograms (IFR, VFR and gliding) for aerodromes and self-defined locations in Europe
− Cross Sections (IFR, VFR and gliding) for flights in Europe
− Weather warnings:
• Aerodrome weather warnings for selected aerodromes in Germany
• GAFOR area warnings: aviation weather warnings for GAFOR areas in Germany
• SIGMET: warnings of potentially hazardous weather phenomena for the lower and upper flight information regions (FIR/UIR) in Europe
− Low Level SWC Germany
− High-resolution RADAR information (Germany composite and Europe composite)
− Lightning information (Europe)
− Satellite information (Europe)
− Current weather observations in map display (visibility, ceiling, wind, weather, QNH, temperature/dew point and first layer of clouds)
− Three-days forecast report for your area in Germany (in German only)
− WAWFOR model forecasts (World Aviation Weather Forecast) based on the DWD forecast model ICON-EU for area Europe, for a forecast time range up to +78 hours (icing and turbulence up to +48h). The following parameters are available in map display:
• Significant weather
• Cloud cover
• Surface pressure
• Surface wind and gusts
• Precipitation
• Temperature (surface and upper levels)
• Geopotential
• Upper wind
• ADWICE icing information
• Turbulence
• Convection (horizontal and vertical dimension)
• Thermal forecasts (lifting ratio, potential flight distance PFD, height of top of dry convection)

The DWD FlugWetter-App is exclusively available for the closed user group "Aviation/pc_met Internet Service" and can only be used in combination with a pc_met Internet Service license which is subject to a fee. The login and password of the pc_met Internet Service www.flugwetter.de are to be used as access data.
