About Emanata - Comics Reader
Emanata is a reader for the comics you already have: CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT and PDF files. Put them in the Emanata folder in iCloud Drive and they're on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, and your place in each one follows you from device to device.
A LIBRARY THAT SORTS ITSELF
• Issues are grouped into series automatically, from ComicInfo.xml or the file name, and messy file names become clean titles with the issue number and year.
• Continue Reading, Up Next (the next unread issue of each series you're reading) and Recently Added.
• Browse by series, unread, finished or your own folders. Search, sort, and show covers or a list.
• Add any folder, including ones in Dropbox, OneDrive or on a server through Files. Your files are read where they are and never moved, renamed or changed.
A READER THAT GETS OUT OF THE WAY
• Single pages, two-page spreads or vertical scrolling. Fit to the page, its width or its height.
• Spreads keep the cover on its own, let double-page art stand alone, and shift by a page for books that pair up wrong.
• Left to right, or right to left for manga.
• Swipe, tap or use the keyboard and trackpad. Pinch or double-tap to zoom. Jump anywhere with the page scrubber or the page grid.
• Pages slide as you turn them, or change instantly if you prefer.
• Black, gray, white or matched-to-the-page backgrounds, and an incognito mode that doesn't save your place.
• When you finish an issue, the next one is a tap away.
EVERY DEVICE, ONE PLACE
• Your place syncs through your own iCloud between iPhone, iPad and Mac. No account to make.
• Handoff: put down your iPhone and carry on at the same page on your Mac.
• A real Mac app, with a window for each comic, menus, and Open With from Finder.
• A Continue Reading widget for the Home Screen, Lock Screen and Mac desktop, and actions for Shortcuts and Siri.
• Real covers in Finder and Files, and the pages in Quick Look when you press Space.
MADE FOR IPHONE DUO
• Folded, a page fills the outer screen edge to edge.
• Open, it reads like a book: two pages meet at the crease, and a page on its own never sits across it.
• Half folded, the comic sits on the top half, with a filmstrip and page controls below.
Emanata doesn't come with comics or sell them: it reads DRM-free comic files you already have. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no account, and no data collected.
