WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Every answer cites its source. Get a question wrong and you don't just see the correct answer, you see the regulation behind it — 40 CFR § 82.152, § 82.156, § 82.157, or EPA's own published test topic outline. You learn where the rule lives, not just what it says.

Current rules, not outdated ones. Leak-rate thresholds changed in 2016 to 30% industrial process / 20% commercial / 10% comfort cooling. R-22 production and import ended January 1, 2020. R-134a is a medium-pressure refrigerant, not high-pressure. A lot of study material still teaches the old answers. This doesn't.

Real exam scoring. Each graded section exam is 25 questions and you need 18 of them — 70% — to pass, exactly like the real test. Questions are drawn proportionally across the section's topic areas. No inflated scores.

THE CERTIFICATION PATH

Core is mandatory for every certification type, so the graded type exams stay locked until you pass it — the same way the real certification works. Pass Core plus your type to earn Type I, Type II or Type III. Pass all four sections for Universal.

Type I covers small appliances of 5 lbs or less. Type II covers medium-, high- and very high-pressure appliances. Type III covers low-pressure appliances.
