Review momentum
ⓘ How we measure thisReview momentum (0-100) blends how fast the app collects ratings compared with other apps in its category (60%), whether that pace is speeding up (25%) and what recent raters give it (15%; recent stars well below lifetime pull it down). Ratings counts are read daily. A jump usually means a launch, a feature, ads or a new review prompt.

About Eucalypt: Koala Map
It puts more than 400,000 koala records from across Australia on one map. They come from the wildlife atlases of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, plus koala photos from iNaturalist and sightings shared by people using the app. Search a suburb, national park or walking track before you head out and see what’s been recorded nearby, how recently, and whether there’s a photo.
• Every record on one map, with counts at every zoom level.
• Filter by time: the past year, five years, ten years or everything.
• Tap a record to see when it was made, whether the koala was seen, heard or left signs, and where the record came from.
• Spots with lots of records, like acoustic monitoring sites, are grouped into one card with their date range.
• Get walking directions, or share a record from the share sheet.
• Use your location for nearby records, or just search. Location is optional.
• Spotted one? Share a photo and where and when you saw it. No account needed. We review posts before they appear.
These are past records, not live koala locations. Some go back many years, some are calls or signs rather than a koala seen, and some locations are generalised to protect the animals. Give wildlife space and keep dogs on a lead.
All records are included in the app so you can browse them offline. Maps, photos, search and new posts need a connection.
One price, everything included. No ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
