- Switching from another journal app is easier. Choose Day One, Apple Journal, Journey, Diarly or another app, and Everlog shows each step with the app's icon, opens it for you and imports right there
- Share your export to Everlog. Share a Day One or other journal export to Everlog and it goes straight into the import, with the app it came from already picked

Choose from 14 themes in Appearance settings: Classic Light and Dark, plus Paper, Sepia, Solarized, Nord, Dracula, Gruvbox, Rosé Pine, Catppuccin and Tokyo Night with Premium. Each theme brings its own tint, heading and attachment colors, and your widgets and the share sheet follow it too
- Light and dark themes. Turn on Match System Appearance to pick one theme for light mode and one for dark mode, and Everlog switches between them when your device does. If you had Appearance set to System, it's turned on for you with Classic Light and Classic Dark
- Journal colors in your writing. With the Classic themes, headings and list bullets take the color of the entry's journal
- Pinned entries. Swipe right on an entry or touch and hold it and tap Pin Entry to keep it at the top of your timeline. Tap the Pinned header to collapse it
- Tags in the timeline. Entries show their tags below the text; tap one to see every entry with that tag. Choose Show Tags and Hide Tag Syntax in Timeline settings
- Thumbnail layouts. Show attachments in the timeline as a Mosaic, a Grid or a scrolling Carousel, and choose the thumbnail size, in Timeline settings
- Timeline settings at hand. Tap the new settings button in the timeline to choose what it shows, or in On This Day to change its settings
- Reflections written on a different day show a preview of the entry they reflect on
- Audio attachments show their length in the timeline
- Better on iPhone Duo and large iPhones in landscape. With the timeline beside your entry, search, Focus Editor and Select First Entry by Default work as they do on iPad
- Faster scrolling through large libraries, and the app stays responsive while iCloud syncs thousands of entries
- More journaling prompts. Choose from 137 built-in prompts, with new questions about today, memories, people, the future and hard days, and better translations in every language
- Unread recaps. The Recaps row in the sidebar shows how many recaps you haven't opened yet
- Sketches are free for everyone, and so is moving entries between the journals you have
- Resizable videos. Drag the corner of an inline video to resize it, just like a photo
- Shortcuts and Siri. New Add Tags to Entry, Move Entries to Journal and Get On This Day Entries actions, Find Entries can filter by any entry detail, and Everlog's shortcuts now show up in Spotlight and the Shortcuts app in every language
- Show Another Memory. Tap the new button on the On This Day widget to see a different memory
- Cloud Encryption is now in iCloud settings, no Expert Mode needed. With Advanced Data Protection on, it keeps your journal end-to-end encrypted in iCloud
