About Extraordinary Women
How many women mathematicians do you know? And women mountain climbers or swimmers? History is full of girls who were warriors and rebels who have done incredible things. It's time to get to know them!
From writers and activists to archaeologists and singers fighting for civil rights, this is a fascinating journey through history and the present at the hand of some of the brightest and bravest women of all time.
Created with beautiful illustrations and inspiring stories, it is the perfect introduction to some of the amazing women who have helped make our world a better place to live.
This app is the continuation of the applauded and multi-award winning "Women Who Changed the World".
This time, we're bringing you stories with a tool where YOU are the protagonist. This is a space to record, write or draw about who you are. A personal diary for self-knowledge and empowerment to learn about your roots, what makes you strong, what you dream about, what you're fighting for and who you want to be.
In this app you will discover the stories of:
- Ada Lovelace
- J.K. Rowling
- Aimee Mullins
- Miriam Makeba
- Mary Anning
- Gertrude Ederle
- Junko Tabei
- Carmen Amaya
- Greta Thunberg
Features
- 9 amazing biographies narrated for boys and girls.
- Create your own personal diary.
- Full of beautiful illustrations and animations.
- No ads.
An app designed by Gemma, illustrated by Sonia, and programmed by Laura, because girls make apps too!
Yes, we know that we left out thousands of women. They wouldn't all fit! We have chosen a few women who are emblematic due their feats, historical period, field of knowledge or place of birth. Do you think we should add someone else? Send your proposals to [email protected]
ABOUT LEARNY LAND
At Learny Land, we love to play, and we believe that games must form part of the educational and growth stage of all children; because to play is to discover, explore, learn and have fun. Our educational games help children learn about the world around them and are designed with love. They are easy to use, beautiful and safe. Because boys and girls have always played to have fun and learn, the games we make - like the toys that last a lifetime - can be seen, played and heard.
At Learny Land we take advantage of the most innovative technologies and the most modern devices to take the experience of learning and playing a step further. We create toys that could not have existed when we were young.
