About Game Show Buzzer & Scoreboard
A game show buzzer for the table. One iPhone becomes the lockout buzzer and the scoreboard for your trivia night: split the screen into 2, 3 or 4 big colour zones, ask your question, and the first tap wins and locks everyone else out to the millisecond.
Honest about who was first:
- It reads each touch's own timestamp, not the screen frame it happened to land on.
- After the first buzz it keeps collecting rival touches for a brief window (adjustable 40–150 ms) before declaring, then shows the real margin: "Ava beat Sam by 0.041s", with third and fourth place listed too.
- Touches closer than 2 milliseconds are called what they are — a tie — with its own split-color screen, so nobody is quietly pretended into first place.
Built for the host:
- A slim control bar on your side of the phone (left or right handed) for re-arm, scoreboard, and host tools — placed on the seam between zones so players can't trip it.
- Judge buttons right on the lockout screen: award the points and re-arm in one tap, dock a point, or open a steal that locks out the player who missed.
- Adjustable points per question, and an optional 10-second answer countdown drawn as a ring around the winner's name — with a tick each second and a steal offer on timeout.
A real scoreboard:
- A clean scoreboard with each player's colour, the round counter, and a crown on the leader.
- Plus/minus steppers for corrections, reset behind a confirmation.
- Optional target score: first player to reach it gets the full-screen crown celebration, then start a new game or keep playing.
Made for game night:
- 2 to 4 players on one phone, names and seat order set up in seconds, seven colour-and-tone combos to claim.
- Four distinct buzz tones (a spread major chord, so even back-to-back buzzes sound good), a lockout thunk, and a countdown tick. Sounds respect your ring/silent switch and mix with your music.
- Strong haptics on the lockout so the winner feels it even with sound off.
Bring your own questions — a trivia deck, a podcast quiz, homework review, or "what did I have for lunch." This is the referee: one-time purchase, no subscription, no ads, no account, works completely offline.

• Three tabs: Game, Scoreboard, Settings — the buzzer arena is one tap away and stays full-screen
• Light and dark: the app follows your phone; the arena stays dark, it's the table
• Saved nights and sharing on the Scoreboard
• Seven player colours; the buzzer's own red is the app's colour now, so no player can look like a button
• Settings for the collect window, host-bar side, sounds and haptics
• Now on iPad: lay it flat on the table — four big zones, one for each side, and the scores at the centre where everyone can see them
• Sentence case and a cleaner look throughout; timing unchanged
