About Generative AI Passport Prep
Generative AI Passport is a Japanese certification, run by GUGA, covering practical literacy in generative AI. This app holds 520 questions written to the 2026 syllabus, with an explanation attached to every single one, covering why that answer is correct.
◇ Every area of the syllabus
Foundations of AI, how generative models actually work, prompt writing, and the risk topics the exam asks about: copyright, personal data, responsible use. The 520 questions follow the eight chapters of the syllabus, so you always know which part you are on.
◇ Learn, then verify
Drill single questions to take the material in, then sit a 60-minute mock under real exam timing. Anything you get wrong returns after a gap, so nothing you got wrong simply fades out. You can lock the order or randomise it.
◇ Terminology on tap
Technical words are tappable wherever they turn up, and the meaning opens on the spot. The glossary is searchable, questions can be bookmarked for a second pass, and notes of your own can be attached.
◇ Your study in numbers
Time spent and accuracy are totalled by day, week, and month, and the per-area breakdown shows where marks are being lost. Set a target and the amount remaining for that day is shown on screen.
◇ No connection required
All 520 questions, their explanations and the glossary sit on the device, so a train tunnel changes nothing. There are no adverts and nothing further to pay.
◇ Carrying on from another device
Progress can be kept on the server, so it comes back after a new phone or a reinstall. The colour scheme follows the device setting, switching between light and dark on its own.

New Features
- Added light/dark mode support. You can choose a theme in Settings (defaults to your device setting).
- Added "Ask AI" and "Search on Google" for questions and glossary terms, available from each item in the list view as well.
- Your study progress is now backed up to the server and can be restored after changing devices or reinstalling (saved per study material).
- Added a "Study automatically until the goal is reached" feature to the board.
- You can now choose between fixed and random question order for tests.
- Added a banner that notifies you when study material is updated. The update dialog now offers "Update now", "Later", and "Skip this version".
- You can now share your study record on X. The shared image is also saved to your photo library.
- Added "About this app" to Settings, showing the disclaimer, copyright, and trademark notices.
- Onboarding now lets you set your study period and daily study time.
Improvements
- Study material now appears immediately at launch, including the first launch while offline.
- Added a number index and an "Expand all / Collapse all" toggle to the list view, and the expanded state is now remembered.
- Progress is no longer shown for future dates on the calendar.
- Suspending is now limited to study sessions; closing a review or test ends it normally.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where study progress could be lost when updating the app.
- Fixed an issue where "Study all questions" failed to start or quit unexpectedly.
- Fixed an issue where resetting progress was not reflected on screen.
- Fixed an issue where search did not work in the list view, and improved the readability of the selected tab.
- Fixed an issue where tapping a term could show a different word.
- Tapping a term that is not registered in the app now tells you so.
- Fixed an issue where part of the screen was cut off on iPhone SE (2nd generation).
