About GopherForge: Go Workbench
A Go compiler, code editor and learning workspace for iPhone and iPad. Build, run, test, vet and format on your device with the bundled Go 1.27.1 toolchain, even offline.
BUILD REAL PROJECTS
• Edit Go and go.mod with highlighting, completion and keyboard shortcuts.
• Follow diagnostics to source lines and inspect per-case test results.
• Import public GitHub repositories, folders from Files or exported archives.
• Navigate nested folders and dependencies; organize projects with tags, favorites and file-name search.
• Download compatible pure-Go modules through the official Go proxy and checksum database. Vendored sources build offline.
• Keep working during downloads, inspect failures and retry from Output. Clear downloaded packages without deleting your source.
LEARN GO
• Follow 169 teaching lessons in 21 units, plus 22 prediction challenges: core Go, structs, collections, interfaces, errors, modules, generics, concurrency and the standard library.
• Read 122 worked lessons, including 19 architecture and eight clean-code lessons, all 23 classic design patterns and six concurrent Go patterns. Compare architecture suitability for tools, domain-rich apps and services with editorial ratings.
• Study Bash, Git, curl, Linux services, Docker, Compose, Podman and Kubernetes with actual commands, probes, scaling and rollback examples.
• Explore twelve MongoDB/Redis readings: shared clients, indexes, atomicity, transactions, cursors, caching, streams and load.
• Packages, modules and tooling now has fourteen teaching lessons covering version graphs, checksums, workspaces, vendor/embed, parallel tests, benchmarks, profiles, build budgets and resource ownership.
• Use 69 original visual guides, 80 design diagrams, practical notes and primary references. Expand highlighted code to full screen.
• Match concepts in Review and work on saved mistakes with three-answer questions and explanations. Progress survives reopening.
PREPARE FOR INTERVIEWS
• Open the separate Interview area: 88 worked guides across 12 topics, from Junior to Staff / expert.
• Explain an answer, compare the reasoning, spot a common trap, solve a worked exercise and tackle a follow-up. Save personal self-assessment separately from lesson completion.
• Cover language/runtime, concurrency, architecture, HTTP/SQL, testing, modules, MongoDB, Redis, Docker/Kubernetes and Go workflows with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
• Step through eight algorithms with 24 input scenarios: binary search, two sum, sliding window, BFS, Dijkstra, top-K, merge and dynamic programming. Inspect state changes and read the Go implementations and complexity.
MADE FOR YOUR SCREEN
Collapsible Files, code and results adapt to iPhone and iPad. Supported iPhone Duo layouts respond to display and posture, including code above the fold with keyboard or tools below. Transparent lower scroll edges and extra scroll room keep final lines reachable without inserting source lines. Choose theme, text size, keep-awake during build

Latest updates
1.1.5
• Removed duplicate Projects, Learn and Settings headings to give content more room. Detail screens retain their titles and Back navigation.
• Unified Course and Interview: the same progress card, Continue action, study cards and topic path.
• Added Interview topic routes, searchable guides, and dedicated Revisit and Understood collections.
• Added Continue for Course and Interview. Return to your last opened lesson or preparation guide after reopening the app.
• Remembered the selected Course or Interview area and added a saved-place label and study-mark counts in Interview.
• Kept lesson completion and compiler-verified badges when older attempt history is trimmed.
• Preserved existing progress and personal interview marks. Opening material does not mark it complete.
• Includes eight practical guides on Go work with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor: repository context, API verification, dependency checks, concurrent code and permissions.
1.1.4
• Added a separate Interview area: 88 worked guides across 12 topics, from Junior to Staff / expert. Read strong answers, common traps, worked exercises and follow-ups; save local self-assessment.
• Added eight interactive algorithm labs with 24 input scenarios and 111 computed steps, Go implementations and complexity explanations.
• Added twelve MongoDB/Redis and twelve module/tooling readings. The course now includes 169 teaching lessons in 21 units, 122 readings and the existing 22 prediction challenges.
• Reviewed existing material and corrected overly broad nil-value/receiver guidance and a Gin error-classification example.
• Made lower scroll edges transparent and added scrollable end space without changing source text. Preserved embedded/full-screen scrolling and keyboard layout.
• Fixed an initial project-loading race that could undo an early Terminal selection.
1.1.3
• Added 53 worked readings on Go architecture, clean code and design patterns. The course now includes 145 teaching lessons in 20 units, with 98 readings and 22 separate prediction challenges.
• Explore 19 architecture lessons: monoliths, layers, hexagonal and Clean/Onion boundaries, vertical slices, DDD, CQRS, event sourcing, event-driven services, microservices, RPC, BFF, serverless, pipelines, microkernels and web/queue/worker systems.
• Compare architecture suitability for a small tool, a domain-rich application or independent services. Ratings are editorial guidance, with features, costs, tradeoffs and references.
• Go deeper into eight clean-code lessons covering naming, interfaces, errors, ownership, configuration, testing, refactoring and SOLID in Go.
• Learn all 23 classic design patterns as Go adaptations and six concurrent patterns, with 53 complete executable examples and 56 design diagrams.
• New topics have separate learning concepts for matching Review and three-choice mistake practice. Existing lesson completion remains recognized.
• Expanded architecture and clean-code explanations cover package boundaries, transactions, failure recovery, tests and gradual migration.
Networking, shell, container and cluster examples remain learning material for your development environment; compiled-program sandbox capabilities are unchanged.
