About Hukam: Sikh App
Every morning, a Hukamnama is taken at Sri Harmandir Sahib — the Guru's command for the day. Hukam brings it to you whole: every Salok, every Pauri, every line, with translation and transliteration.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN
• Widgets bring the day's Hukamnama to your Home Screen, so a line of Gurbani is there every time you pick up your phone
• Lock Screen widgets keep a line with you — Gurmukhi or translation, always in step with the Home Screen
NOTIFICATIONS THAT CARRY GURBANI
• Notifications bring real lines of the day's Hukamnama
• You choose how many, in what window of your day
THE DAILY HUKAMNAMA
• English translation and transliteration when you want it
• The date it was taken, the ang, the raag, and the Guru
• Save and reopen them any time
QUOTES TO SIT WITH
• A feed of more than fifty thousand lines of Gurbani, one at a time
• Flick for the next line; tap to read its whole shabad
• Save the lines that speak to you, and share them as beautiful cards
MADE YOURS
• Colours, photographic themes and app icons with Premium
• Reading controls: translation, transliteration, and text size
Every word of Gurbani in Hukam is free, and always will be.
