About ImBusy: Simulated Calls
The dinner has reached its third round of “just one more drink.” The meeting is on slide 87. Your date has just started talking about car number ten...
You don’t necessarily want to leave. You’re simply missing a reason you absolutely have to.
ImBusy was made for exactly that.
Schedule an in-app scenario call in advance. You choose the caller’s name, simulated phone number, carrier, and call time. You also record what the “caller” will say. Every pause in the recording stays exactly where you left it, giving you room to answer naturally.
Open Ready Mode and keep ImBusy in the foreground. When the scheduled time arrives, the simulated incoming call appears. Answer, look concerned, say “Okay, I’ll be right there,” and make your exit.
【WHAT IT CAN DO】
• Commit to the bit: Customize the caller’s name, simulated number, and carrier
• Build a storyline: Create up to six calls and place them in the Ready Mode queue by scheduled time; when one ends, the next waits in the wings
• Set the mood: Give each call its own ringtone, vibration setting, and standby background
• Make it a conversation: Record the caller’s voice in advance, with every pause preserved for your reply
• Keep the black screen in character: Enable simulated sleep mode, then slide to answer when a call appears on the dark screen
• Sweat the small stuff: Picking up the phone lowers the ringtone volume, while bringing it close to your face during a simulated call darkens the screen to help prevent accidental touches
【IT KNOWS ITS BOUNDARIES】
• On-device only: No network connection, no account, and no uploads. Your scenario settings and recordings stay on your phone
• Not a real phone call: Every incoming call is simulated inside the app. ImBusy cannot place or receive real calls
• Permissions stay in their lane: The microphone is used only when you choose to record. Motion and proximity sensing are used only to lower ringtone volume and reduce accidental touches

Ready Mode and the simulated call experience require ImBusy to remain open in the foreground. Simulated calls do not appear while the app is in the background. When you return to the app, ImBusy checks the scheduled time again.
