SHOWCASE VIEW
- Premium playlists can now open in Showcase, a poster-style home with large artwork and rows to browse, alongside Grid and List.
RECORDING (PREMIUM, EXPERIMENTAL)
- Record a live channel to your device: for 30 minutes, an hour, until the programme ends, or until you stop it. Recording starts from the moment on screen, and carries on while you keep watching or browse elsewhere in the app.
- Choose the audio language and the subtitles to record. Subtitles are saved alongside the recording and shown when you play it back.
- Find everything you recorded in Settings > Premium > Recordings, where you can play, seek, and delete. Recordings stay on your device and go nowhere else.
- Recording is new and still being tested on more channels. If a recording plays oddly, please send us a report from the app.
PLAYER
- Choose how the player controls look in Settings.
- The pointer hides by itself while a video plays on Mac.
- Holding the seek button moves through a film more smoothly.
- The channel panel shows how far the current programme has run.
- Switching channels inside the player now stays within the list you opened the channel from. Opened from Favourites? Next and previous move through your Favourites.
FILMS AND SERIES
- A new grid view with box art for films and series.
- Sort by year, where the playlist gives one.
- The same title in two categories now shows as two results in search, each labelled with its category underneath, so you can still reach one if the provider changes the other.
SETTINGS
- Two new switches in Settings > Display: "Show a channel's details before playing it" and "Show a film's details before playing it". Both are on by default; turn one off to play straight away.
FIXED
- Some live channels repeated the same few seconds over and over.
- Some WebVTT subtitles were not drawn correctly.
- Smoother playback on some videos that stuttered.
- Channels landing in "Other" because of small mistakes in a playlist are now read correctly.
- Crash reports now carry more detail, so problems you send us can be fixed sooner.

LANGUAGES
- Vietnamese joins the list, so IPTV Room now speaks eleven languages. Settings offers them in a single drop-down, each with its flag beside it.
- Use your own language: load a translation file from your device or from a web address. The app checks the file first. If it doesn't pass, the app stays in English and tells you why. Your choice is remembered every time you open the app. An example file and the steps are on our website.
PLAYLISTS
- Add a playlist from an M3U file on your device, not only from a link. A file is read once and doesn't refresh by itself. To update it, edit the playlist and choose the new file.
FILMS AND SERIES
- Press and hold a film, an episode or a series from your provider's VOD library to read what the library says about it: the synopsis, the director, the cast, the genres and a backdrop.
- User now can manually add their own Media libray on top of playlist.
WATCHING
- New setting: Prefer IPv4 for live streams. For networks where IPv6 is slow and live channels keep buffering, it fetches every live channel over IPv4. Off by default.
- A channel protected with Apple FairPlay, with no licence in the playlist, now says so plainly instead of playing noise and a scrambled picture.
FIXED
- Opening a very large playlist or film library, and its Favourites, no longer holds the app up while it sorts.
- Downloading a playlist or guide no longer makes the screen stutter.
