About ITit - IT Glossary
A study app for IT terminology, holding 2,200 terms across 22 fields.
Every term ships inside the app. It uses no network at all, so it works the same on a train or in airplane mode, and it costs you no data allowance.
■ Fields covered
Software & Web Development / Programming / Architecture / Testing & QA / Mobile / UI/UX / Computer Basics & Hardware / OS, Servers & Infrastructure / Networking / Cloud / DevOps & SRE / Security / Databases / Data Engineering / AI, ML & Data Science / Generative AI & LLMs / Project Management / IT Business & Service Management / IT Law & Governance / XR & Spatial Computing / Blockchain & Web3 / IoT, Embedded & Edge
Each field has a Basic and an Advanced level. Basic covers terms you will have heard of; Advanced goes into how things work and what to choose.
■ Read in Japanese or English
Every term carries an explanation in both languages. Switching the setting changes both the interface and the explanations, which helps when you move on to English technical writing.
■ Review only what you have not learned
Mark a card as one you have not learned, and you can later study just the marked terms. Your progress is recorded as you go, so the next time you open the app you carry on from where you left off.
You can also keep several ranges going at the same time.
■ Search that finds things
As well as headwords, search matches abbreviations (TCP), kana readings, and full-width input. Matches in headwords and matches inside explanations are listed separately.
Terms are linked to related terms, so you can follow one that interests you into its neighbours.
■ Choose how you study
・Show everything — the headword and the explanation together
・Tap to reveal — the headword first, so you can recall the meaning before checking
The order can be sequential or shuffled.
■ No information is collected
We collect nothing about you. Your study record stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. There is no advertising and no analytics.
The App Store page for this app shows “Data Not Collected”.
■ Other
・Light and dark themes, following your device setting
・Follows your device's text size setting
・A one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases
If you find a mistake in a term, please tell us from “Report a mistake” inside the app.
