JIAO Connector

JIAO Connector is a tactile remote for Nikon Z cameras (designed for the Z fc / Z f). It joins the camera's own Wi-Fi network, speaks Nikon PTP/IP on TCP 15740, and turns the iPhone or iPad into a second body: live view, exposure knobs, focus, capture-to-card, and a gallery that downloads files, saves them to Photos with EXIF preserved, and deletes them from the card. Camera controls appear dynamically, only when the connected body reports support for them.

Most camera apps are a web form bolted to a lens. Jiao Connector is built like the body — black chassis, machined chrome, one knob per parameter, and red kept for the shutter.

Independence. ImageConnector (published as "Jiao Connector 蕉连", the "App") is independent third-party software developed, published, and maintained solely by Li Zheng, an independent developer (the "Developer"). The App is not an official Nikon product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, licensed by, or otherwise approved by Nikon Corporation or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates ("Nikon"). Nikon has not reviewed, tested, or warranted the App and bears no responsibility or liability for it. All questions, support requests, complaints, and claims arising from the App must be directed to the Developer — not to Nikon or to the camera's vendor.

Trademarks. "Nikon", "Z fc", and "Z f" are trademarks or registered trademarks of Nikon Corporation. "Leica", "Hasselblad", "Sony", "Canon", "Pentax", and "Ricoh" are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. All such marks are used solely in a nominative, descriptive manner — to identify the cameras with which the App interoperates and to describe optional colour themes inspired by classic camera design. Such use does not imply, and must not be understood as implying, any association with, or endorsement or sponsorship by, the trademark owners. All trademarks remain the exclusive property of their respective owners; no trademark licence is granted.

Interoperability. The App communicates with cameras exclusively through the Picture Transfer Protocol over TCP/IP ("PTP/IP", ISO 15740), an open, standardised protocol. The App does not contain, and was not developed using, any proprietary Nikon software development kit or confidential Nikon material. Statements of compatibility are factual statements of observed interoperability, not claims of certification or approval; camera firmware updates or product changes may degrade or remove interoperability at any time, and no undertaking is given that compatibility will be maintained.
