This huge update adds six new languages, support for iPhone Duo and split keyboard, and a new, experimental autocomplete engine that lets you download additional support for some languages (English, Italian, and Swedish).
IPHONE DUO
- The keyboard now matches the native iPhone Duo keyboard design, both open and closed.
- The real iPhone Duo had a different layout than the preview, so the app will be updated to support this.
- Until this is fixed, you can add a keyboard switcher to the keyboard from the "Extra Buttons" screen.
EXTRA BUTTONS
- Extra buttons can now be reached from the home screen.
- You can now add extra buttons before the spacebar as well.
- There's a new "next keyboard placement" action that can dock and split the keyboard.
NEW LANGUAGES
- Khmer, Korean, Luxembourgish, Thai, Xhosa, and Yoruba.
- Thai has 4-row and 5-row layout support, with an all sign, two-row callout.
- Korean has its own Hangul input engine.
SPLIT KEYBOARD
- A new "keyboard placement" setting replaces the "one-handed keyboard" setting.
- You can now split the keyboard in two halves. On smaller screens, this only works in landscape.
- You can add a menu to the spacebar or long press the dismiss keyboard key to quickly change placement.
AUTOCOMPLETE
- A new setting lets you turn system lexicon suggestions on or off.
- A new, experimental autocomplete engine is available for English, Italian, and Swedish.
- You can enable this engine by downloading support from the language settings screen.
EMOJIS
- You can now hide the emoji keyboard key from the emoji settings screen.
LANGUAGES
- The language settings screen is easier to use.
- Adding languages now uses a separate sheet.
- The add languages sheet now shows suggested languages.
BUG FIXES
- Autocomplete now handles spaces after the cursor correctly.
