- 📦Kyber: Laser Sword Simulator updated to version 1.2.1• On iPhone Duo, the view out of the window now stays in the window when the phone stands folded, in laptop or tent mode.
• Switching sabers right after retracting now lets the retract sound finish. - 📦Kyber: Laser Sword Simulator updated to version 1.1NEW
• Force Activation: Ignite the saber without ever touching your phone, perfect party trick!
• Swipe up to ignite: from anywhere outside the crystal, the mirror of swiping down to retract
• Notifications: a new switch in Settings lets you hear when new content and features arrive. It's off unless you turn it on, and you can switch it off anytime
• Replaying the intro from Settings? A Skip button on the first step takes you straight back
ACCESSIBILITY
• VoiceOver: the walkthrough's instructions can now be found by touch, and are spoken in VoiceOver's own gestures ("Double-tap the crystal…")
• VoiceOver: the Retract action is always there while the blade is lit, including in the middle of the walkthrough, so you can never be left with a blade you can't turn off
• Dim Flashing Lights: hit flares become a gentle swell instead of a white flash, and the Unstable saber's flickering edge calms down
• Switch Control and Voice Control: full-screen sheets now have a Close button
• Dynamic Type: the Watch tab's text now scales with your text size
IMPROVEMENTS
• Leaving the app with the blade lit now puts it out instantly and silently, instead of coming back to a half-retracted, frozen crystal
• The haptic hum stops the moment a call or alarm puts the blade out, instead of buzzing on for a couple of seconds
• Smoother stars in Settings: no more jitter, and slightly larger so they read as stars rather than dust
• A much smaller download: the videos are now encoded for iPhone screens, saving about 90 MB with no visible difference
APPLE WATCH
• Haptics are now a setting (Effects › Haptics) and off by default, so taps no longer make the watch chime when Silent Mode is off. That includes the intro's title
• The glowing edge of a lit blade now follows the exact corner shape of every Apple Watch screen, including Series 7 and other smaller sizes
• The sound now comes back by itself after a phone call or alarm interrupts a lit blade
• Settings › Volume, Effects and Action Button now open as sheets, so the Digital Crown still scrolls back to your sabers after you close them
• The Health permission step now explains why Kyber asks (to keep the saber running while you move) and that no workouts are saved
FIXES
• Fixed a crash when a phone call, Siri or an alarm interrupted the sound while a blade was lit (iOS and watchOS 26)

About Kyber: Laser Sword Simulator
A long time ago, from a developer far, far away… Kyber is a laser sword simulator for your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Incredibly accurate motion controls let you hear and feel the warm hum and the swings of this iconic movie prop. Hold your iPhone like a hilt, or wear the saber on your wrist.
SOUND THAT FOLLOWS YOUR EVERY MOVE
• Smooth Swing: the hum rises, bends and roars as you move, following the speed and angle of every swing
• Clash: stop a swing hard, as if the blade hit something
• Blaster Deflect: tap the screen to send a bolt back where it came from
• Iconic ignition and retraction sounds
• 4 sabers, Graflex, Unstable, Survivor and Scavenger, each with its own sound font, effects and color
• Sensitivity control, so effects fire at exactly the force you like
FEEL IT IN YOUR HAND
• On iPhone, haptics follow the sound: a constant buzz that swells as you swing, and a hit you can feel on every clash
• The whole screen glows with your blade's color, at full brightness while it's lit
NEW: FORCE ACTIVATION
• Ignite your saber without touching your phone. Perfect party trick.
SIMPLE CONTROLS
• Tap the crystal or swipe up to ignite, swipe down to retract, tap to deflect
• Shortcuts and Siri: "Ignite Saber" and "Retract Saber"
• Use the Action button on iPhone, a Control Center control, or a Lock Screen widget to jump straight to your saber
ON APPLE WATCH
• A full saber on your wrist that works on its own, no iPhone needed
• Your wrist's motion drives the swings, clashes and stabs
• Ignite with a tap or Double Tap, and if available, the Action button
• Stays running even if you lower your wrist
• Watch face complications to launch it in a tap
MADE FOR EVERYONE
• Full VoiceOver support, including a walkthrough spoken in VoiceOver's own gestures and a Retract action whenever the blade is lit
• Voice Control and Switch Control: every control can be reached and named
• Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, and Dim Flashing Lights, which softens every flash and flare
THE FULL EXPERIENCE
• An opening crawl and end credits worthy of the films
• A hands-on walkthrough that teaches each move as you try it
• And a secret or two, for those who look closely…
