About Lap Map
The Lap Map is for people doing the Big Lap around Australia.
Plan the trip leg by leg and see what it actually costs. Put in what your week looks like, what your rig drinks and where you are going, and the app works out the fuel and the nights as you build it. Diesel comes off as you drive, using the cheapest servo reporting a price on your route rather than a number you guessed in the driveway.
See what the roads are really like. Travellers report corrugations, washouts, flooding and closures, and the next person through gets told. The map knows about overtaking lanes, causeways, floodways, cattle grids, single lane bitumen and rest areas across the country, and it works with no signal because it is already on the phone. Total fire bans and fire danger ratings are shown for the day.
Find somewhere to stop. Caravan parks, free camps, dump points, drinking water and service stations, with what OpenStreetMap knows about each and what travellers have added.
Record your run. Start it before you pull out and it keeps recording with the phone locked. The recorded track stays on your phone.
No account. No sign in.
Road reports are travellers talking, not official advice. Check with the road authority before you commit to a remote crossing.

The Lap Map now works on CarPlay.
On the car screen: search for a town, address or place, pick a leg of your saved trip, or find the nearest fuel, camps and caravan parks, toilets, drinking water, supermarket or mechanic.
Preview the route, press Start, and get spoken turn by turn directions on a map, with rerouting if you leave the road.
Report flooding, a blocked road, roadworks, a crash, stock on the road, potholes, corrugations or a fallen tree from the car screen, and say how bad it is.
