About Life Dashboard Companion
Life Dashboard Companion reads the health data you choose from the Health app on your iPhone and sends it to a server you run yourself: Home Assistant, an MQTT broker, or any webhook that accepts a JSON POST. Nothing goes to the developer or to anyone else.
HOME ASSISTANT
Install the free Life Dashboard integration from HACS, scan its QR code, and your steps, sleep, heart rate, weight and workouts show up as sensors. A backfill sends your history, from 30 days to everything Apple Health has; in Home Assistant each day lands on its own date in the long-term statistics, for now about the last year.
YOUR OWN SERVER
Send to any webhook that accepts a JSON POST: n8n, Node-RED, a script of your own, or the self-hosted Life Dashboard stack with Grafana dashboards. Every address has its own signing secret (HMAC-SHA256) and its own headers, so each server knows it came from your phone. Over MQTT, sensors set themselves up through Home Assistant's discovery.
WHAT IT SENDS
- 28 data types, each off until you switch it on: steps, distance, calories, sleep with stages, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, weight and body composition, blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, VO2 max, workouts, nutrition, mindful minutes, cycle tracking and more
- Every record with the app or device that wrote it, plus clean daily totals from the Health app's own statistics, so a walk recorded by both your iPhone and your watch counts once
- Deleted records, so your server can remove them too
HOW IT RUNS
- In the background, on an interval or at times you pick, with quiet hours
- A Shortcuts action, Sync Health Data, for an exact time
- A widget and a Control Center button
- A log of every delivery, and a preview of the exact JSON before it goes out
- It tells you when iOS holds syncs back, and reminds you when nothing arrived for days
PRIVACY
No account. No analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs. The app reads from Health and never writes to it. Your data goes only to the addresses you enter, straight from your phone. Secrets are kept in the Keychain. The app is open source under the MIT license.
In English, Dutch and German.

Latest updates
1.10.0
- Every webhook address has its own signing secret and headers. Pairing a second receiver no longer breaks the first.
- Backfill reaches back to all your history: 30 days up to 5 years, or everything Apple Health has.
- The app tells you when iOS holds syncs back (Background App Refresh off, Low Power Mode on), and reminds you when nothing arrived for days.
- The setup asks for Apple Health access as its own step and ends with a first sync, so you see right away that it works.
- Questions? The email address is under About, next to Rate the app.
